AFC announces referees for CAHN and The Cong Viettel matches

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has released the officiating assignments for upcoming AFC Champions League Elite and AFC Champions League Two matches scheduled for October 27 and 28.

For the AFC Champions League Elite match between Shanghai Port and Cong An Ha Noi (CAHN) on October 27, a South Korean officiating team will lead. Choi Hyun-jai will serve as the main referee, supported by assistants Chang Jung-pil and Cheon Jin-hee. The team includes fourth official Kim Hee-gon and a VAR crew consisting of Kim Woo-sung and Choi Chul-jun.

In the AFC Champions League Two fixture between The Cong Viettel and FC Seoul on October 28, Japanese referee Yamashita Yoshimi has been appointed as the main official. She will be assisted by Makoto Bozono and Chihiro Ikki.

Both Vietnamese clubs are currently facing challenges in their respective continental competitions. CAHN has yet to secure a point after two rounds, while The Cong Viettel has also struggled to find form in their recent outings.
