AFC Champions League Two draws set paths for Australian clubs
The group stage draws for the AFC Champions League Two have been completed, determining the paths for Australian representatives Adelaide United and Melbourne Victory.
Adelaide United, seeded in Pot One, has been placed in Group F. They will compete against Thailand’s BG Pathum United, Singapore’s Lion City Sailors, and Hong Kong’s Tai Po.
Melbourne Victory, drawn from Pot Two, will compete in Group E. Their opponents include South Korea’s FC Seoul, Vietnam’s The Cong – Viettel, and the winner of a playoff between Indonesia’s Persib Bandung and the Philippines’ Manila Digger FC.
Separately, Newcastle Jets will represent Australia in the AFC Champions League Elite competition following their A-League Premiership win.
