Afcons Infrastructure wins CII National Environmental Excellence Award

Afcons Infrastructure Limited has received the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Award for Environmental Best Practices 2026. The company was recognized in the category of Biodiversity Management for its contributions to the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project (C-2 Package).

The award highlights the project’s implementation of circular economy practices. These include recycling concrete washout waste to recover sand, aggregates, and water, reusing tunneling muck in segment casting, and treating tunnel wastewater before discharge. Additionally, the project utilized roof skylights to maximize natural daylight, reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.

Afcons, a flagship company of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, received the honor at a ceremony held in Chennai on October 9, 2026.
