AfD calls for anonymous reporting portal for school violence in Rhineland-Palatinate

The AfD parliamentary group in Rhineland-Palatinate is advocating for the creation of a state-wide reporting portal to allow students to anonymously report experiences of violence, threats, and intimidation in schools. Joachim Paul, the opposition group's education expert, stated that the portal would serve children and adolescents who may be afraid to contact the police directly.

Paul cited recent incidents at the Karolina-Burger-Realschule plus in Ludwigshafen, which drew media attention due to police interventions, as a reason for the proposal. He suggested that while officials may believe incidents are isolated, there could be more unreported cases.

Education Minister Ute Eiling-Hütig (CDU) previously noted that only a small number of students were responsible for the difficulties at the Ludwigshafen school and that corrective measures had been taken. According to the Ministry, the situation at the school has stabilized following changes in school leadership and teaching staff, with educational experts working on new pedagogical concepts.
