AfD Gains Support in German Poll, Greens Lose Ground

A new INSA poll released on 30 June 2026 shows the far‑right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) rising to 29 % of the vote, a gain of three points. The centre‑right CDU/CSU remains at 22 % unchanged, while the Greens fall to 13 %, down two points. Other parties register modest figures: SPD at 12 %, The Left at 10.5 %, FDP at 4 %, and smaller groups together at 6 %.

The poll reflects shifting voter sentiment ahead of upcoming federal elections and highlights the AfD’s growing appeal alongside a decline for the Greens, which may affect coalition prospects and parliamentary dynamics in the Bundestag.
