AfD hires right-wing activist in Saxony-Anhalt amid protests

The AfD state association in Saxony-Anhalt has hired a right-wing activist with ties to the Identitarian Movement and the Autonomous Nationalists to manage the party's website. Investigations by MDR Investigativ reveal that the individual, Dorian S., was personally proposed for the position by AfD top candidate Ulrich Siegmund in September 2025. This appointment contradicts the party's official list of incompatible organizations.

In a separate incident in Halle-Neustadt, approximately 50 anti-fascist protesters demonstrated against an unannounced AfD discussion event titled ‘Christians in the AfD’. The event featured former federal spokesperson Beatrix von Storch and other party members. The demonstration led to confrontations with police, who cleared the entrance of the venue where the meeting was held at the restaurant ‘Zum Kleeblatt’.
