AfD leads German Bundestag poll with 29% support, INSA survey shows

An INSA poll conducted between 22 June and 26 June 2026 surveyed 1,204 eligible voters about the upcoming German federal election, expected in 2029. The results give the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) 29 % of the vote, the CDU/CSU bloc 22 %, the Greens 13 %, the SPD 12 %, Die Linke 10 %, other parties 7 %, the FDP 4 % and the Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht 3 %.

Based on these percentages, the projected distribution of the 630 Bundestag seats would see the AfD as the largest parliamentary group, followed by the Union. The poll also outlines possible coalition combinations, indicating that an AfD‑CDU/CSU alliance would command a majority of 374 seats, while other pairings such as CDU/CSU‑Greens‑SPD would fall short of a majority.
