AfD party congress in Erfurt disrupted by anti‑fascist protest
Anti‑fascist activists attempted to disrupt the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party congress in Erfurt, Germany. The protesters boarded buses bound for the event, used masks and colored smoke, and tried to block delegates from reaching the venue. Police deployed several transport vehicles and escorted the activists to the city outskirts, but later withdrew behind barricades as the demonstration moved toward the party office on Clara‑Zetkin‑Straße. Some protestors threw colour‑filled bags at the office, while police held position without direct intervention.
The protests unfolded through the early morning hours, with participants dispersing and blending into the crowd after the confrontation.
