AfD rises to second place in Saarbrücken regional re-election
In the court-ordered re-election for the Saarbrücken regional assembly, the AfD emerged as the second-strongest political force, securing 22.83 percent of the vote. This result follows a previous election that was invalidated due to the AfD's initial exclusion from the ballot.

The AfD will now hold ten seats in the 45-member assembly. Other parties included the Greens at 12.57 percent, The Left at 9.03 percent, and the FDP at 4.9 percent. The BSW and Bunt Saar each secured one seat. Voter turnout for the re-election was recorded at approximately 40.55 percent.
