AfD vehicle destroyed in arson attack in Darmstadt

An automobile belonging to the AfD district association in Darmstadt was completely destroyed in an arson attack during the night of Saturday. The fire also spread to a neighboring parked vehicle. The damage to the AfD car is estimated at approximately 3,000 euros.

Robert Lambrou, Co-Head of AfD Hessen, described the images of the arson as ‘frightening,’ stating that the perpetrators acted without regard for collateral damage to nearby property. In response to the incident, the AfD has offered a 10,000 euro reward for information leading to the apprehension of those responsible.

Local police and fire departments confirmed the vehicle fire, which was detected around 04:25 AM on Saturday morning. Authorities have stated that there are currently no specific leads regarding the cause of the fire.
