Afe Babalola University confers honorary degrees on business leaders

Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) has awarded honorary Doctor of Letters degrees to Professor Obiora Okonkwo, Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, and Niyi Olajide, Chairman of Cavista Holdings. The honors were presented during the university’s 14th convocation ceremony in recognition of their contributions to business development, innovation, and national growth.

The ceremony, which saw the graduation of 2,194 students, was attended by various political leaders, traditional rulers, and business executives. Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji praised Olajide for his significant investments in agriculture and tourism within Ekiti State, noting that his efforts through Cavista Holdings have contributed millions of dollars to the local economy.
