Aferi Nomad 1800 Pro portable battery station offers backup power

Portable high-capacity battery stations are emerging as an affordable alternative for home energy storage, providing backup power during outages without requiring complex installations or large investments.

Energy engineer Borja Pérez tested the Aferi Nomad 1800 Pro, a compact device weighing 11.6 kg. The unit features an output power of 1,800 Watts and a storage capacity of 1,024 Wh. It utilizes LiFePO4 battery technology, which is designed to provide over 4,000 charging cycles while maintaining 80% of its original capacity.

Retailing for under 500 euros, the device can power essential appliances such as refrigerators or microwaves via 220V to 240V AC outlets. While useful for critical loads, the device's autonomy depends on the energy consumption of the connected appliances.
