Affirm and Shopify launch Shop Pay Installments in Australia

Affirm and Shopify have launched Shop Pay Installments in Australia, expanding their existing global partnership. The service allows eligible Australian shoppers to split purchases into biweekly or monthly payments through Shopify’s checkout interface. Customers can choose between interest-free or interest-bearing plans and view total costs before committing to a purchase.

This rollout follows previous expansions into Canada in April 2025 and the United Kingdom in December 2025. The companies have indicated that Western European markets, including France, Germany, and the Netherlands, are next on their roadmap. Affirm provides the underwriting and financing infrastructure, while Shopify provides the merchant-facing checkout integration.

On the day of the announcement, Affirm shares rose over 10% following the release of the company’s fiscal fourth-quarter results, which indicated a continued trend toward profitability.
