Afgan, Winky Wiryawan, and Maxime Bouttier collaborate on song ‘Aura’

Musicians Afgan, Winky Wiryawan, and Maxime Bouttier have collaborated on a new song titled ‘Aura’. The project reportedly began as a joke that eventually evolved into a serious musical endeavor.

Afgan shared that the inspiration for the song and its title came unexpectedly while he was in the restroom. Following this sudden idea, he brought the concept to the studio to propose the collaboration to Winky and Maxime. In the recording, Maxime performs on drums while Winky handles the guitar.

Winky Wiryawan noted that the process allowed him to explore different musical genres, specifically mentioning how working on pop music changed his perspective on the complexity of the genre's progressions and voicing compared to his usual guitar work.
