Sharif Ahmadzai, a 26‑year‑old Afghan professional boxer who arrived in Greece as a refugee, was arrested and charged with homicide with intent, robbery and illegal weapons possession. He appeared in court, exercised his right to silence and denied killing Ross, claiming he found her already dead in a bathroom and panicked, moving the body into a suitcase.
