Afghan Embassy in New Delhi marks fifth anniversary of Islamic Emirate

The Afghan Embassy in New Delhi hosted a ceremony on Monday to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Islamic Emirate’s return to power. The event was attended by various foreign diplomats, including representatives from India and Serbia, the latter being the only European nation represented. Other attendees included officials from Palestine, Russia, China, Eritrea, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Niger, Qatar, and Oman.

Noor Ahmad Noor, Afghanistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in India, emphasized the necessity of strengthening political trust and economic partnerships between Kabul and New Delhi. He stated that enhanced engagement would contribute to regional stability, connectivity, and shared prosperity. Noor noted that diplomatic contacts have expanded recently through increased activity in embassies and frequent high-level delegations.

Furthermore, Noor expressed Afghanistan’s desire for deeper economic relations and a foreign policy centered on non-interference and pragmatic engagement with all nations. He also called upon India to support Afghanistan’s rights at international forums, expressing appreciation for India’s previous emphasis on ensuring the country’s legitimate international rights.
