Afghanistan chambers sign MoU to form joint-stock company for infrastructure

The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) and the Chamber of Industries and Mines (ACIM) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a joint-stock company. The entity is designed to pool capital from traders, industrialists, and investors to finance large-scale economic and infrastructure projects across the country.

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar attended the signing ceremony, stating that the company will provide a structured, transparent, and legal framework for mobilizing private capital. Baradar emphasized that the private sector is essential for boosting domestic production, creating jobs, and expanding exports. He noted that the government is working to streamline administrative procedures and remove barriers to attract investment and support economic growth.
