After Afghanistan posted 299/8 in a rain-affected match (reduced to 47 overs per side), Ibrahim Zadran led the scoring with 84 runs. In response, Ireland was bowled out for 207. Despite a 72-run partnership between Cade Carmichael and Andy Balbirnie, a run-out of Lorcan Tucker triggered a collapse that saw Ireland lose seven wickets for just 63 runs.
