Afghanistan summons Pakistan’s chargé d’affaires over Nuristan border incident

The Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Pakistan’s chargé d’affaires in Kabul to deliver a formal protest regarding the alleged entry of hostile elements across the Durand Line into Nuristan.

This diplomatic action follows a military operation in the Kamdesh district of Nuristan, where the Afghan Ministry of Defense reported that 28 people were killed and 32 others were captured. Afghan authorities claim that groups affiliated with Daesh and “Shar-o-Fasad” elements entered Afghan territory with the support and encouragement of Pakistani militias.

The Ministry of Defense further alleged that Pakistani military personnel and “Arbaki” forces coordinated with these groups, which included former military personnel from Afghanistan’s previous government. Afghan officials claim these individuals were recruited and trained in military camps along the Durand Line by Pakistani intelligence agencies before being deployed into Afghanistan to conduct acts of subversion.
