Afiq Fazail named MVP at Liga M Awards 2025-2026

Afiq Fazail, a midfielder for Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the Liga M Awards 2025-2026. The 32-year-old also secured the Best Midfielder award, marking his third time receiving that specific honor following wins in 2022 and 2023.

JDT dominated the ceremony, winning a total of seven awards, including Best Coach Xisco Munoz and Best Goalkeeper Ahmad Syihan Hazmi. Afiq’s MVP win ended the consecutive four-year streak of his teammate, Arif Aiman Hanapi.

In another notable achievement, Selangor FC striker Faisal Halim was named Best Forward. This award follows his recovery from an acid attack in 2024, a significant milestone in his return to professional football.
