West Coast premiership coach Adam Simpson has joined a sub‑committee to choose Carlton's new senior coach after Michael Voss’s departure. The panel also includes chief executive Graham Wright, football boss Chris Davies and president Rob Priestley, with former Brownlow medallist Greg Williams acting as a consultant.

Meanwhile, Tasmania Devils CEO Brendon Gale said the club is unfazed by the heightened coaching market, noting they will stick to their own timelines and funding. Gale mentioned candidates such as Ken Hinkley and Nathan Buckley being considered for the men’s role and highlighted Tasmania’s plan to run men’s and women’s programs concurrently from 2028.
