AFP and Dalet partner to integrate news content into Dalet Flex
Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Dalet have announced a collaboration to integrate AFP’s news content directly into the Dalet Flex newsroom platform. The partnership aims to enhance how media organizations discover, browse, and produce stories by utilizing AFP’s extensive editorial metadata.
The integration allows for the automatic delivery of media into Dalet Flex at regular intervals, with breaking news updates provided in near real-time. Journalists can utilize detailed metadata—including scene-by-scene descriptions, shot composition, locations, subjects, and soundbites—to search and filter content. This system is designed to preserve the editorial intelligence provided by AFP journalists, allowing users to select specific shots and move them seamlessly into Dalet’s editing environment.
Furthermore, the collaboration is intended to support AI-assisted workflows. By retaining AFP’s contextual metadata, Dalet’s media-aware AI platform, Dalia, can better assist journalists with topic research and story production.
