Africa Climate Forum to focus on implementation in Abuja
The fourth edition of the Africa Climate Forum (ACF) is scheduled to take place on October 13 and 14 at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, Nigeria. Organized by the Global Centre for Law, Business and Economy (GCLBE), the forum is themed ‘Implementing in Lockstep: Public-Private Action for Green Outcomes.’
The event aims to shift the continental dialogue from making ambitious climate pledges to achieving practical, measurable implementation. Discussions will focus on the necessity of collaboration between governments, private enterprises, financial institutions, and development partners to drive Africa’s climate transition.
Key topics for the forum include the development of carbon markets, energy access, the role of natural gas in energy transitions, food security, and climate adaptation. Participants will also explore community-led climate action, human rights, and the integration of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in climate monitoring and planning.
