Africa Down Under mining conference opens in Perth

The Africa Down Under conference has commenced in Perth, Western Australia, serving as a major international platform for mining, minerals, and investment.

As part of the event, the first Australia/Angola Business Forum was held, featuring discussions on bilateral relations and investment opportunities. Stephen Lee Wetherall, CEO of Connected Minerals Ltd, described Angola as a ‘recommendable and safe destination’ for Australian investment in Africa.

Nigeria is also participating in the conference with a high-level delegation led by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake. The Nigerian delegation aims to engage global mining companies and financial institutions to attract investment and technology to support the country’s economic diversification and solid minerals sector.
