Africa Eco Race 2027 to start in Tangier
The 18th edition of the Africa Eco Race is scheduled to take place from January 24 to February 6, 2027. The rally-raid competition will begin in Tangier, Morocco, and conclude at Lac Rose in Senegal, traversing through Morocco and Mauritania.
Spanning twelve stages, the event aims to combine competitive sports and navigation with the discovery of diverse territories. Organizers intend to use the race to promote international visibility for the regions involved, specifically highlighting Morocco's landscapes, heritage, and capacity for sports, nature, and adventure tourism.
For the second consecutive year, Tangier will serve as the starting point. Participants are expected to arrive between January 21 and 23 for administrative and technical verifications, followed by an official launch and a prologue on the municipal beach of Tangier on January 24.
