Africa Prudential posts 27% earnings growth in H1 2026

Africa Prudential Plc reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026. Gross earnings rose to N4.28 billion, a 27% year‑on‑year increase from N3.34 billion. Profit before tax reached N2.41 billion (+22%), and profit after tax climbed to N1.59 billion (+18%). Net operating income grew to N4.21 billion (+27%). Total assets expanded to N46.53 billion (+13%) and shareholders’ fund to N12.52 billion (+13%).

The company attributed the performance to continued growth in its core registrar business, higher corporate‑action activity, stronger treasury earnings, and wider adoption of its technology‑enabled solutions. Management reaffirmed a strategic shift from a traditional registrar to a diversified technology and business‑solutions provider, emphasising digital services such as KYC, AGM technology, probate services and the SabiVest mobile app to reduce reliance on interest income. MD/CEO Dr Catherine Nwosu said the firm will deliberately diversify revenue streams as interest‑rate conditions evolve.
