Africa Tech Festival to focus on AI and digital growth

The 29th edition of the Africa Tech Festival is scheduled to take place from 16 to 19 November 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. As the continent’s longest-running technology event, the festival will convene government officials, telecommunications operators, infrastructure providers, startups, and investors.

The 2026 programme focuses on the complexities of Africa’s digital economy, specifically addressing artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, connectivity, and the evolving investment landscape. A central theme is the transition of Africa from an AI consumer to an AI producer, with sessions exploring agentic AI in enterprise decision-making and the necessary cloud and data center infrastructure to support such growth.
