African business forums convene leaders to drive cross-border investment

Major business forums held in Cape Town and Accra have brought together investors, diplomats, and corporate executives to accelerate economic growth and intra-African trade.

The AETI Business Forum 2026 in Cape Town focused on connecting private capital with investment-ready projects across six key sectors: Mining, Energy, Infrastructure, ICT, Agribusiness & Food Security, and Finance & FDI. The event included delegates from South Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Namibia, and Gabon, emphasizing the need for cross-border investment to build sustainable economic ecosystems.

In Accra, the Africa Business Forum & Awards 2026 centered on the theme of transitioning from a single African market to global competitiveness. The forum featured participation from the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, highlighting the importance of regional integration and improved market access. The event combined strategic business discussions with an awards ceremony to recognize contributions to the continent's economic development.
