African Democratic Congress Addresses Defamation Claim and Defector Status in Nigeria
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) campaign team for Adamawa governorship candidate Omar Suleiman rejected accusations that he was involved in defacing public facilities with campaign posters in Yola. The team called the allegations politically motivated, urged a transparent investigation, and criticised the ruling party for selective enforcement, noting that posters from multiple parties are present in the area.
In Zamfara State, the ADC clarified that Aslam Aliyu, who announced a move to the All Progressives Congress, was never a duly registered member of the party. The state chapter stated that her resignation would not affect the party’s operations and reaffirmed its commitment to disciplined, principled membership.
