President Bola Tinubu Accused of Corruption Amid PFIPC Scandal
African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi said the controversy surrounding the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) and its alleged director‑general Adeniyi Adeyemi has tarnished the image of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Abdullahi told Symfoni TV that the scandal creates the impression that the Nigerian presidency is a “den of corruption”, citing rumors of payments for contracts, appointments and access to senior officials. He urged Tinubu to order an independent, transparent investigation to prove the administration is not complicit in the alleged racketeering.
The ADC spokesman emphasized that the allegations have embarrassed Nigerians internationally and called for the matter to be examined beyond doubt, warning that failure to do so could further damage public trust in the presidency.
