African Energy Week 2026 agenda focuses on continental investment and technology

The agenda for African Energy Week (AEW) 2026 has been released for the conference scheduled from October 12 to 16 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Under the theme “Affordable and Abundant Energy Additions for Africa,” the event will host policymakers, investors, and technology leaders to discuss the continent’s energy value chain.

Technical sessions will focus on subsurface interpretation, deepwater exploration, gas development, and digitalization. Key discussions include Angola’s offshore future and Mozambique’s gas resources. TotalEnergies is highlighted as a major player, with plans to invest $10 billion in Angola over five years and ongoing involvement in the Mozambique LNG project in the Rovuma Basin.

The program includes various specialized tracks such as the Upstream E&P Forum, Energy Finance Forum, and Power Africa, aiming to connect project-level technologies with broader investment and development challenges across the African energy industry.
