African financial institutions to discuss capital mobilisation at AFIS 2026

Major African financial groups, including Access Holdings Plc and Coronation Group, are set to participate in the Africa Financial Summit (AFIS) 2026 in Luanda, Angola, scheduled for 3–4 November.

Access Holdings, alongside its subsidiary Access Bank Plc, aims to address the mobilization of capital for productive investment, regional trade, and financial integration. The group's delegation, led by Chairman Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, will focus on how large-scale institutions can convert their reach into sustainable economic value for businesses and communities across the continent.

Coronation Group will focus on mobilizing domestic capital and increasing institutional investor participation in infrastructure financing. During the summit, executives will participate in discussions regarding the attraction of private investment amidst regulatory complexities, foreign exchange restrictions, and fragmented markets. Key topics include capital market reforms and the development of local-currency investment instruments to channel domestic savings into long-term productive growth.
