African football associations launch CAF coaching certification courses

Football associations in Sierra Leone and Nigeria are implementing new coaching certification programs to enhance regional standards.

In Sierra Leone, the North-East Region Football Association (NERFA), through the Sierra Leone Football Association, recently concluded its second CAF D Licence Coaching Diploma course. Held at Wusum Stadium in Makeni, the four-day training provided 34 coaches with theoretical and practical instruction in modern coaching methods aligned with Confederation of African Football (CAF) standards.

In Nigeria, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has launched its first CAF A-License coaching course in nine years. The intensive two-module program in Abuja includes 25 top-flight coaches from various national teams and clubs within the Nigeria Premier Football League and the Nigeria Women Football League.
