KCCA FC and Police FC secure victories in Uganda Premier League
KCCA FC secured their first victory of the 2026-27 Uganda Premier League season with a 1-0 win over Kataka FC at the MTN-Omondi Stadium. Emmanuel Anyama scored the decisive goal in the 57th minute following a cross from Sammy Ssebaduka. KCCA head coach Brian Ssenyondo noted that while the win provides relief to the players, the team had been performing well despite a lack of results in previous matches.
In other league action, Police FC defeated Lugazi FC 2-0. The match featured a long-range distribution from goalkeeper Hadji Shakuru that led to Richard Matovu’s opening goal in the 69th minute. Ramsey Jjemba later secured the win with an 89th-minute strike. The result moves Police FC to fifth place in the standings.
Mbarara City and Entebbe UPPC played to a 0-0 draw.
