African football: Squads announced for 2027 AFCON qualifiers

National team coaches have released squad selections ahead of the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Cameroon coach David Pagou has named a 28-man roster for the November international break. The selection features the return of defender Enzo Ebosse, who has not played for the Indomitable Lions since the 2022 World Cup. Additionally, five new players—Karl Wassom, Patrick Nkoa Amougou, Yvan Nana, Geovanni Vianney, and Agbor Ndjee Vianney—have received their first call-ups.

South Africa head coach Pitso Mosimane has announced a 38-man preliminary squad for back-to-back matches against Kenya. The Bafana Bafana side, currently leading Group D, is scheduled to host Kenya in Johannesburg on November 13, 2026, before traveling to Nairobi for the return leg. The preliminary list includes returning players Mbekezeli Mbokazi and Thalante Mbatha, as well as European-based youngster Aden McCarthy.
