African leaders and innovators pursue international investment and tech partnerships
African leaders and entrepreneurs are focusing on international cooperation to drive local development and technological advancement. At a recent forum regarding investment opportunities in African local authorities, Mayor Nicole Gohourou highlighted strategies to attract foreign investors and facilitate their participation in local public markets. She specifically called upon the African diaspora, particularly from Côte d’Ivoire, to return and invest in national economic transformation through entrepreneurship and expertise.
In the technology sector, engineer Serge Gnona Dovi is working to bridge African and Japanese innovation ecosystems. Through his organizations, Japan Connect and Dove Innovations Japan, Dovi aims to facilitate exchanges between entrepreneurs and investors. His initiatives focus on robotics, the Internet of Things, and digital applications, such as the development of connected greenhouses in Côte d’Ivoire to modernize agricultural practices. These efforts aim to translate international technical training into sustainable economic projects on the African continent.
