African Leaders Call for Unified Action on Youth Unemployment

Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, Ghana’s delegate to the Pan‑African Parliament, urged African governments to adopt coordinated policies that boost job creation, entrepreneurship, technical‑skills training and digital inclusion. He linked youth unemployment to broader challenges such as climate change, food insecurity, migration and digital transformation, and stressed that the success of the African Continental Free Trade Area and Agenda 2063 depends on investing in young people.

Former President John Dramani Mahama addressed young Africans and the diaspora, encouraging them to lead the continent’s next chapter through innovation, integrity and enterprise. He called for quality education, democratic governance and supportive environments that enable youth to build technology‑driven solutions, create jobs and contribute to sustainable development.
