African Union condemns Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping, backs Saudi Arabia

On 23 July 2026, African Union Commission President Mahmoud Ali Youssouf condemned the attacks claimed by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on commercial oil tankers in the Red Sea.
