Africexim Bank partners with IBDL to train next generation of African trade leaders
The African Export-Import Bank (Africexim Bank) and the International Business Development Learning group (IBDL) signed a memorandum of understanding at the bank’s headquarters in Cairo. The agreement creates a strategic partnership to boost human capital for “Global Africa” by offering joint training, certifications and bootcamps in intra‑African trade, manufacturing, trade intelligence and e‑commerce.
Stephen Kaouma, senior human‑resources member at Africexim Bank, said the collaboration is a “concrete investment in trade leaders and future institutions across the continent.” IBDL chief executive Dr. Khaled Khalaf added that the partnership will deliver “globally recognised skills” to African professionals and support the continental free‑trade area’s agenda.
The initiative will be delivered through the bank’s academy, featuring masterclasses for diplomats, digital learning modules and potential accreditation by the University of Missouri State, aiming to prepare a skilled workforce to drive sustainable economic growth in Africa.
