Afrim Gashi meets British Ambassador Matthew Loson

Afrim Gashi, Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, held a farewell meeting with British Ambassador Matthew Loson at the Assembly. The meeting focused on the excellent bilateral relations between North Macedonia and the United Kingdom.

Gashi highlighted parliamentary cooperation, specifically referencing his official visit to the British Parliament last year. He also noted the importance of support provided through the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, which strengthens the functions of the Assembly and its services.

Ambassador Loson expressed satisfaction with the cooperation during his mandate and voiced confidence that the dynamic relationship would continue with his successor. Discussions also covered the Strategic Partnership, trade agreements, and the United Kingdom’s role in supporting North Macedonia’s development as an independent European democracy.
