Afroditi Latinopoulou criticizes Greek government and addresses school violence

Afroditi Latinopoulou, president of Phoni Logiki and Member of the European Parliament, has launched a sharp critique against the Greek government, led by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. She accused the administration of being disconnected from the daily realities of citizens, describing it as a “government of scandals, high costs, arrogance, and hubris.” Latinopoulou specifically cited various remarks from New Democracy officials regarding the cost of living and travel as evidence of government elitism.

In a separate matter, Latinopoulou addressed a recent incident in Ano Liosia where a teacher was reportedly physically assaulted by parents. Expressing solidarity with the educator, she emphasized that teachers must be able to work in safe environments without fear of violence. She proposed that the state should consider cutting subsidies for delinquent families and ensuring legal consequences for those who violate the law within school settings.
