Afroditi Latinopoulou accuses Kyriakos Velopoulos of promoting misleading health products

Afroditi Latinopoulou, president of Voice of Logic, has launched a sharp verbal attack against Kyriakos Velopoulos, leader of the Greek Solution party. During a television interview on MEGA, Latinopoulou accused Velopoulos of having a history of promoting various products through telesales with misleading therapeutic claims.

Latinopoulou alleged that Velopoulos previously marketed products claiming to treat conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, depression, and rheumatism. She specifically cited products like ‘Telopon’ and various herbal preparations. Furthermore, she referenced a past incident involving a hair ointment called ‘Byzantinon’, noting that the National Organization for Medicines (EOF) imposed a 10,000 euro fine on the distributing company for misleading advertising regarding its antimicrobial properties during the pandemic.

Latinopoulou characterized Velopoulos as a “conscious liar” and called for intervention from the judiciary and the Ministry of Health to address the issue of unverified alternative treatments and products being marketed to the public.
