AFSM expands fuel station network across Maldives islands

AFSM has established fuel stations in seven islands across the Maldives, with plans to open additional locations later this year. This initiative is part of a government-led effort, in collaboration with STC, to ensure affordable fuel access for all regions of the country.

The project, which included a fuel skid initiative launched in November 2024, aims to support fishermen and the general public by reducing reliance on private suppliers who often charge higher rates in outlying atolls. Currently, stations are operational in Dhuvaaruh, Ihvaandhoo, Hanimaadhoo, Eydhafushi, Milandhoo, Nilandhoo, and Meedhoo. Work is also progressing in Manadhoo and Dangethi, with further expansions planned throughout the year.
