AFTECH and IARFC Indonesia partner to launch Verified Finfluencer Program
The Indonesian Fintech Association (AFTECH) and the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) Indonesia have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a ‘Verified Finfluencer Program’. This initiative aims to standardize the competence of financial information providers, improve financial literacy, and strengthen consumer protection within the digital financial services sector.
The collaboration addresses a significant gap in Indonesia’s financial landscape. According to the 2026 National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK), the country’s financial inclusion index has reached 93.61 percent, while the financial literacy index stands at 69.57 percent. This indicates that access to financial services is outpacing public understanding of financial products and risks.
As social media becomes an increasingly common source for financial information, the program seeks to combat the spread of misleading information and illegal product offerings. The initiative serves as a precursor to the 2026 National Fintech Month (BFN).
