Afya Summit to discuss medical technology and humanization

The third edition of the Afya Summit will take place on August 29 at the Auditório Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil. Under the theme ‘From technological revolution to human revolution’, the event focuses on the intersection of emerging technologies and the human dimension of medical practice.

The summit features over ten hours of lectures, panels, and immersion spaces. Key topics include the impact of artificial intelligence, data analysis, interoperability, and new leadership competencies on medical training and patient care. The program is designed to transition from technical discussions regarding digital transformation to reflections on ethics, communication, and the necessity of maintaining human connection in healthcare.

Notable participants include Drauzio Varella, Daniel Kraft, and Ana Cláudia Quintana Arantes. Gustavo Meirelles, Afya’s vice president of medical and institutional relations, stated that the summit aims to help professionals use technological tools in an ethical, responsible, and patient-centered manner.
