Afyonkarahisar educational initiatives focus on school expansion and cultural values
Educational officials in Afyonkarahisar are implementing various initiatives to address regional needs and promote cultural values. In Yalvaç, representatives from the Mustafa Büyükkutlu Anatolian Imam Hatip High School Association, the School Parent Association, and the İlim Yayma Society met with District Governor Bekir Abacı to request the construction of a new, independent Imam Hatip Middle School. The group noted that current facilities have reached full capacity due to increasing student numbers, necessitating new classrooms and improved physical conditions.
In a separate effort to integrate traditional values into modern education, Afyonkarahisar Provincial Director of National Education İsmail Altınkaynak visited Atatürk Primary School. During the visit, he provided students with traditional children's game sets and assigned them the task of watching the series ‘Ailem’ with their families to foster domestic connection. Altınkaynak emphasized the importance of character building and cultural heritage within the ‘Turkey Century Education Model’.
Additionally, the Provincial Directorate of National Education held a strategic meeting with administrators of lifelong learning institutions. The session focused on expanding educational services to all segments of society, addressing citizen requests for new courses, and strengthening the role of Public Education Centers in meeting local community needs.
