Afyonkarahisar Minibus Station President Osman Bulaş Murder Sparks 18 Arrests

Osman Bulaş, the president of the Uydukent minibus station in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, was fatally shot after a dispute over the employment of an unlicensed driver. He succumbed to his injuries at a hospital following the altercation at the Dörtyol neighbourhood station.

Police investigations linked the killing to the driver‑licensing dispute and detained 18 suspects, including the alleged gunman, after reviewing CCTV footage and witness statements. The arrests are expected to be forwarded to the courts.

The incident halted minibus services at the station. Deputy station head Kazım Adıbelli announced that routes would resume the following day, with a meeting scheduled for Thursday involving the provincial governor, the city mayor, the police chief and the station committee to discuss permanent solutions.
