Afyonkarahisar official calls for increased rural municipal services

Fehmi Güray Çakır has called on the Afyonkarahisar Municipality to increase its focus on rural areas, stating that municipal services should not be limited to the city center. He emphasized that residents in rural neighborhoods require improved access to roads, infrastructure, transportation, and essential services.

Çakır also advocated for concrete support for local producers to help them manage rising costs for fuel, fertilizer, seeds, irrigation, and energy. He suggested that the municipality should implement sustainable policies, such as collaborating with cooperatives, facilitating market access for small producers, and creating models that allow local products to reach consumers with fewer intermediaries.
