Afyonkarahisar Provincial Council Approves New Industrial Zone and Land Acquisitions

The Afyonkarahisar Provincial General Assembly, chaired by Mehmet Siper, voted to establish the "100th Year Machine Special and Mixed Organized Industrial Zone" within the province. The Afyonkarahisar Special Provincial Administration will hold a 24 % participation share and be represented by four core members.

The council approved the purchase of ten parcels of land across the districts of Bayat, Çay, Sinanpaşa, Emirdağ, Sandıklı and Sultandağı for the zone, as well as the conversion of a park area in Efe Village (Şuhut district) into a transformer site. Additional decisions included allocating land for a new eight‑classroom primary school and reassigning certain municipal properties for fire‑service and health‑directorate use.

All resolutions were adopted unanimously by the relevant specialist commissions, paving the way for the industrial zone’s development and related infrastructure projects in Afyonkarahisar.
