Șag to host Cultural Days and Ruga Bănățeană in August 2026

The commune of Șag will host the Cultural Days of Șag and the traditional Ruga Bănățeană on August 15 and 16, 2026. The events, organized by the local City Hall, Local Council, and the Romanian Orthodox Parish of Șag, will take place at the Șag Cultural Center with free admission.

The program for the first evening, August 15, features folklore and popular music performers including Vlăduța Lupău, Lena Miclăuș with the Frații Marișca band, Florin Boita, and Sebastian Cucec.

The second evening, August 16, will feature performances by Claudia Ionaș and Petrică Miulescu Irimică. Local authorities have planned for traditional food areas and entertainment spaces for children. Due to the proximity to Timișoara, organizers expect high attendance and recommend arriving early to manage parking.
